Shopfit was established in 1988, primarily
as a joinery manufacturing business. After
becoming one of the best known, high quality
cabinetmakers in the area for 7 years, and
completing many building and renovating
projects,the company diversified into the
shopfitting area in 1995. Working alongside
retail designers, project managers- all
with on site trade experience- and a team
of very professional trades people.
MKCShopfit, has rapidly grown to be one
of the better known shopfitting companies
in North Queensland, and over the last few
years, their skills have been in high demand,
Australia wide, with projects completed
in most major shopping centres along the
east Qld coast.
As well as providing an in house design
service,and turn key fit out service,for
local works MKCShopfit has worked successfully
with many inter- state store designers,
and has performed works alongside numerous
other prominent shopfitting companies Australia
wide, with which on going working relationships
still stand. The company works with its
own joinery factory, and can produce all
aspects of the fit-out, from custom made
retail units, to elaborate shopfronts, and
detailed bulkheads. |

Project
Diva , the HIP new face in fashion accessories
,approached MKC initially to complete the fit
out in Caneland Central, Mackay. Working alongside
a team of Sydney based designers, MKC helped the
fashion jewelley chain, to quickly establish itself
in major shopping centres throughout the state.

contracted MKC to perform their extremely tight
Queensland wide roll out of stores.Despite facing
the usual difficulties associated with shopping
centre tenancy fit outs, all projects were within
budget, and well within allocated times, leaving
an other very satisfied client. Numerous stores
were handed over early, giving the client rent
free time, and plenty of opportunity to organize
staff and sort out teething problems. Tenancies
were constructed in MACKAY, SUNSHINE COAST, GOLD
COAST, BRISBANE, CAIRNS, DARWIN, TOWNSVILLE For
national tenancies, a fitout without a defect
list at the end of the fit out period is of prime
importance for negotiating reimbursements, and
trading commencement dates. MKC has earned the
reputation for being one of the best shopfitting
companies in Queensland, with the highest record
for minimal defects at hand over. |
